About

Jason has worked as a business journalist and editor of the Swiss bank UBS, for the German business publisher Verlag für die Deutsche Wirtschaft, has written for a Swiss Expat Lifestyle Magazine, and has published the book The Lausitz Ring, a semi-autobiographical account of a business start-up and expat rebirth in eastern Germany.
Jason’s background as a corporate trainer, coach and facilitator has given him an in-depth understanding of how business works. This enables him to help companies and executives capture and celebrate their unique stories.
Born in Yorkshire, England, in the days when this really meant something, Jason was raised in Harpenden, a quiet English town once home to director Stanley Kubrik, comedian Eric Morecombe and a good number of the Arsenal football team.
Studying International Development at UEA and with aspirations of saving the world, he decided early that the world would have to look after itself and went into the steel industry — the world proceeded to go into recession. After studying management in Berlin, he briefly took work in the tech sector just before the e-commerce bubble burst.
Opting not to be a sock in any more economic cycles, he joined the relatively safe and cuddly education & training sector and has been bemusing German university students and seminar participants ever since.
He currently lives in Hamburg with his German wife and two children where he lectures at a business school and runs company training seminars.
